Volunteer
At this time, our primary goals are the following:
- Raising awareness to our own pets’ veterinarians — Awareness and use of simple light tests can help early diagnosis of SARDs/IMR.
- Raising awareness to the general public — Awareness of early symptoms can help pet owners to get to their veterinarians earlier for proper diagnosis.
- Donating / Fund-raising — Funds can assist Iowa State University (ISU) with the financial resources they need to continue with their wonderful work.
Because our site is still new, we still have some work to do in order to formalize ways to perform fund-raising activities. Meanwhile, if you really do have a desire to volunteer, we ask that you start by raising awareness of SARDs/IMR by sharing the link to www.SARDSAwareness.org with your pet’s veterinarian, family and friends, colleagues and acquaintances, and pet lovers and owners that you know.
All it takes is a little bit of knowledge to get an early and accurate diagnosis of SARDs/IMR to help the dogs that we all know and love.
Again, we can’t stress how important it is to raise awareness to our own veterinarians.
Your veterinarian can sign up for updates from our website, and whenever we post something new, your veterinarian will be notified by email.
The best way get an early diagnosis for SARDs/IMR is by getting our own pets’ doctors educated about this condition and the method(s) for accurate, cost-effective, and timely diagnosis and treatment.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at info@sardsawareness.org.
If you have not already done so, please participate in our poll to the right.
